We aim to develop our institute as center of academic excellence in the field of engineering and technology. All the efforts are focused towards fulfillment of vision and mission. We have introduced “mentoring scheme” for the group of twenty students with the motto of resolving academic as well as personal problems of the students. Apart from innovative method, students are well trained through vast experience and knowledge of our Lecturers.

Minimum Eligibility Qualification / Criteria for Admission:
1. i) For getting admission to the 1st year Diploma Engg/ Architecture Courses institution, a candidate must have passed Matriculation Examination or equivalent examination with the following essential subjects
ii) The admission shall be on merit of marks obtained in the “PAT” conducted by H.P.Takniki Shiksha Board, Dharamshala in the month of May.
2. For getting admission to 1st year Diploma in Pharmacy:
A pass in any of the following examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics:
i) Intermediate examination in Science
ii) The First Year of the three-year degree course in Science
iii) 10+2 examination (Academic Stream) in Science
iv) Pre-degree examination
v) (a) Vocational Higher Secondary Education of Kerala from 1994 –95 with Group A&B only with following subjects:

(e) Second Secondary Examinations of the Ministry of Education, State of Kuwait with 10+2 (Academic stream) in science of India.
(f) 12 Years Ethopian School Leaving Certificate of Ministry of Education, Ethopia with 10+2 (Academic Stream) in science of India.
(g) 8+4 of Kenya certificate of Secondary Education issued by Kenyan National Examination Council with 10+2 (Academic Stream) in science of India.
“Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by National Open School, New Delhi” and Pre-University examination (New Scheme) of Andhra University with Physics, Chemistry & Maths or Biology have been debarred for admission to Diploma in Pharmacy by PCI vide letter No.14-2/2006-PCI-5763-6337 dated 13 June,2007.
KC Polytechnic offers 3 year Diploma in Computer Engg. This program was started in the year 2010 with initial take of 60 students. The objective of the department is to provide knowledge of modern computing system with latest technology. The department is well equipped labs with the latest licensed software’s. Mechanical Engineers design and develop everything of as a machine from jet to needles. The Profession of Pharmacy has changed significantly during last few decades. The word Pharmacy has been derived from the Greek word “Pharmakon”, meaning medicine or drug. A pharmacist is the person who is expert on drugs .Pharmacy has evolved from the practice of preparing, preserving, compounding and dispensing of drugs to a patient and is a practice in which the pharmacist not only must understand the biological and chemical nature of drugs but also must be a knowledgeable health professional. With the implementation of product patent regime, more and more MNCs are setting up their base in India leading to more number of clinical trials and increase in employment opportunities.
Pharmaceutical Sciences is a recognized branch of study, the scope of which ranges from drug discovery to the delivery of drug in suitable dosage forms to the patient. Pharmacy is a multifaceted stream covering many areas of medical and applied sciences, the most important being Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Anatomy & Physiology. Sports and games are a regular activity at the K.C. Polytechnic College and conducts matches from time to time. The institution has sufficient material for conducting variety of sports activities. RULES & REGULATIONS SPECIFIC TO KC POLYTECHNIC
Certain rules which are specific to the KC Polytechnic are given below. Rules that are commonly applicable to all students of the KC Group of Institutions, Pandoga are given in the rules section of this Prospectus. Students of KC Polytechnic are advised to familiarize and observe these rules during their stay in the campus.
As per norms of H.P.Takniki Shiksha Board, Dharamshala the Institute follows semester system comprising of six semesters.
The Academic Session begins on 25th July every year.
The Session is divided into two Semesters as under:
1st Semester: 25th July to 27th November
2nd Semester: 17th January to 20th May
Attendance: - As per State Board norms, 75% attendance is compulsory. The students who will have attendance less than 75% will not be able to appear in the exams.
Hours of Attendance: 9:A.M to 5:P.M with one hour lunch break. Efforts will be made to maintain above timings throughout the year but as per circumstances the institution Principal can change or amend the above timings.
The student who will be absent in the class without the permission of Principal, will be fined Rs.5/- per period.
Striking Off Name:
Any student who will remain absent for ten working days, his/her name will be struck off from the institution Roll. He/She can be re-admitted by submitting his/her request application & the student can be re – admitted by paying the fees of Rs. 1,000 in the same semester.
Cancellation of Registration :
Any student who remains continuously absent for one month, his/her registration will be cancelled, He/She will be admitted in the same semester the following year.
Any student who has been debarred on account of shortage of required lectures from appearing in the exams, he/she can be re-admitted in next year in the same semester.
Observance of Rules & Regulations:
All the students are bound to follow all the rules & regulations of the H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board.

Training & Placement
Training and placement is very important activity to enhance the interaction between the industry & the institution.
The Training and placement cell arranges for practical training of the students with industry in order to complete the Diploma requirements.
The students are also sent to various industries to familiarize with their production techniques.
The cell is fully dedicated for arranging the placement of the outgoing final year students and organizes the campus interviews before the final Examination of the last semester.
