KC Group of Research and Professional Institute Pandoga Organized FOSSEE Workshop Sponsored by IIT, Bombay

Computer Science & Engineering Department of KCGR & PI Pandoga, organized a FOSSEE (Free Open Source Software for Science and Engineering Education) workshop sponsored by IIT, Bombay under their “Spoken Tutorial Project” in Current Semester (Aug-Dec 2016) in the LAB hours and off college hours.  FOSSEE Project is funded by MHRD as a part of National Mission on Education. It aimed at enabling the students and faculty to use open source software tools for all their computational needs, thereby including the quality of instruction and learning. This workshop was attended by the students of B.Tech (CSE 5th & CSE 7th). We are creating two batches of the students. For single batch student can do three softwares in a semester. Our student had done training of JAVA, CPP, and C & PHP/MYSQL. The knowledge of these Softwares was given to the students through audio- video tutorials and their queries were sorted out by “Spoken Tutorial Team” of IIT, Bombay through video-conferencing. After completing the training, the students are eligible for online test. Those students are awarded by the Certificate, who are qualifying the online test and got minimum 40% marks. The whole program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Priyadarshi Jaruhar, Principal of KCGR & PI and organized by Er. Mandeep Kumar Kashyap Assit. Prof.  & Head of Computer Science and Engineering Department. The online test is invigilated by the Er. Sukhvinder Kaur, Assit. Prof. CSE Department. The faculty of Computer Science Department also co-operate for successful completion of this program.
