INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO SOLANG NALA TUNNEL (DISTT KULLU) ON OCT 07, 2016

The Solang Nala Project is undertaken by the B.R.O . H.O.D of Civil Deptt. Er. Ankur Lath took special permission from B.R.O to visit the sight under the guidance of honorable Chairman of the Group Sh. Prempal Gandhi Ji, Campus Director of the Institution Dr. B.S Sandhu and Principal KCIET, Dr. Priyadarshi Jaruhar.

This Industrial tour lasted for two days. Lt. Parikshit Kumar (M.Tech, from IIT Roorkee) explained the whole project to the students. The tunnel was 8.5 kms long running through South Portal and North Portal.

He delivered a lecture on the construction aspects of the tunnel which lasted for about two hours and took the entire visitors inside the tunnel to have a clear view of the tunnel and briefly described the construction steps involved in its making.

H.O.D of Civil Department Er. Ankur lath along with the faculty members Er. Pankaj Sharma and Er. Kapil Sharma accompanied the students to the Industrial visit.

We are glad that KCIET is the first college to visit the place for which the entire Civil Department is thankful to The Chairman, Vice Chairman, Campus Director of the Group and Principal of KCIET for their immense support and directions.
