Education has always been important to any democratic country but, perhaps never
more so in man's history than today. In a world based on science and technology,
it is education that determines the level of prosperity, welfare and security of
people and serves as a powerful instrument of social, economic and cultural transformation
necessary for the realization of the national goals. Certainly, on the quality and
number of students coming out of our educational institutions will determine our
success in the great enterprise of national reconstruction whose principal objective
is to relate education to the life, needs and aspirations of our people and thereby
raise the standard of their living. It was with this objective that the KC Social
Welfare Trust was founded in 1999. I welcome you whole heartily to join our group.
