Celebration on World Literacy Day in KC Polytechnic College Nawanshahr

"Education is not preparation for life; Education is life itself for girls"-Er.R.K.moom (Principal)

As a part of human development, KC Polytechnic College organised a seminar on "World Literacy Day" that is celebrated throughout the country every year on 8th September. Er. R.K. Moom (Principal of the college) explained "UNESCO declared this 8th September as international Literacy Day on October 26th,1966 at 14th session of UNESCO's General conference .It was celebrated first time in 1967 to highlight the importance of literacy to individuals, communities and societies".

However; principal of the college Er.R.K. Moom told the values of the education to the students and said "Education reduce the riff raffing between the boys and girls with no boundaries or limitations, the only thing that can make you a diamond from coal is 'Education'. There is nothing as powerful as education and we should celebrate the day to raise the goals of distributing this power".

Futhermore ; on this ocassion Er. Harpreet Kaur (HOD EE) enlightened the students and said "The main purpose to celebrate the International Literacy Day is to encourage and awareness towards literacy so the everyone can know their social and individual rights. Students paid their full attention towards this day, students including Krishna, Madan, Keshav, Ayush, Vishal gave their views through their speeches regarding this day.

Moreover; on this moment Er. R.K. Moom (Principal), Er. Parminder Kumar (HOD ME / AE), Er. N.K. Soni (HOD CIVIL), Er. Jyoti Chopra (HOD CSE), Er. Harpreet Kaur (HOD EE), Ms. Monika Parihar (HOD Applied Science Department ) and all the faculty members and students swere also present
