Information & Technology (IT)
The mission of the Department of Information Technology is to impart high quality under-graduate education and carry out leading-edge research in the discipline of Information Technology. The department currently runs academic program leading to the award of B.Tech. in Information Technology degree of Punjab Technical University Jalandhar. The Department has various laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art computing facilities to support the teaching activities.
The whole team of Information Technology Department is working with a sense of responsibility and dedication to excel and achieve success in this era of Information Technology. Apart from imparting conventional technical education and rich learning environment, emphasis is laid on co-curricular activities such as conferences, seminars, workshops, debates and quizzes to prepare students for highly competitive job market. The department is more concerned on the broad picture of modern Technologies like E-commerce. The objective of the department is to provide knowledge of modern computing systems as well as sound theoretical background to meet evolving needs of students.
